With the United Way of Door County’s annual campaign literally down to a matter of hours, the goal of just over $457,000 is in sight. The latest update indicates that about $420,000 has been raised to date. That is close to 92% of the goal & more than $6,000 over the final figure reached last year. If a little more than $37,000 comes in by the end of business Saturday, the local organization will not only have broken a recent trend of fundraising close calls, but will also be able to see to it that more dollars are available to help people in Door County. There is more than one way to give, you can give online at http://www.unitedwaydc.com/give or call the United way office in Sturgeon Bay at (920)-746-9645 to make a pledge. A pay plan can be set up later.
