Two vehicles were destroyed in a fire of undetermined origin early Friday morning. The Baileys Harbor Fire Department was paged out to to 8259 Peil Lane shortly before 1AM. Four units & 14 firefighters responded. A call for northern Door mutual aid was also made. Baileys Harbor Fire Chief Brian Zak an occupant of the home was awakened by the family dog & called 911. Fire crews used about 1,400 gallons of water & four gallons of foam to put out the fires in the vehicles which were parked close to the residence. The radiant heat from the burning cars caused some damage to siding on the home. Firefighters cleared the scene around 3AM. No damage estimate is available. The Baileys Harbor fire remains under investigation.
