Trimberger Will Step Down From Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center

WDOR News has learned that Todd Trimberger, executive director of the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center, is stepping down after 8 years at the helm. In a letter to the tourism organization’s executive committee, Trimberger said the decision to leave was a difficult one, but he felt the time was right to make the change. Cindy Weber, president of the Visitor Center board, praised Trimberger’s leadership, professionalism, passion and dedication. Weber said, thanks to his leadership, the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center is poised for much success in the years to come. While the organization’s executive committee heads up the search for a new executive director, Trimberger has indicated that he is committed to stay on for the transition. It is expected that the search and transition may take three to four months. More information on the changes at the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center is expected to be discussed Tuesday when the tourism agency holds its annual meeting at the Stone Harbor Resort and Conference Center in Sturgeon Bay.
