Kewaunee County Sheriff Matt Joski has released a statement which says a state investigator has found indications that a fire which destroyed an unoccupied barn was intentionally set. The fire was reported at 6:45AM Wednesday at N1712 Town Hall Road in the Town of Carlton. Fire units from the Carlton & neighboring departments were called to the scene, but the barn & attached milking & livestock areas were destroyed. The special agent who helped the sheriff’s department was from the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation, Arson Bureau. Sheriff Matt Joski is asking anyone who may have seen anything out of the ordinary Tuesday evening or early Wednesday to contact the sheriff’s department at (920)-388-7108, or the Arson Hotline at 1-800-362-3005. He noted that rewards are available from the arson hotline.
