It didn’t just happen that the Sturgeon Bay Skatepark Initiative selected Grindline Skatepark Design & Construction to develop plans for a new skatepark on the west side of the city. Matt Young, co-chairman of the local organization, says the group wanted to get a nationally known design company. He says a lot of research was done & the group was impressed with Grindline’s creativity, professionalism & integrity & their commitment to working with all stakeholders. Grindline has also designed & built award winning parks from Orcas Island to Okinawa, Japan to Copenhagen, Denmark. The hope is that, if all goes well, work on the skatepark near the westside field in Sturgeon Bay can be constructed during the summer of 2013.
