A committee of the Sturgeon Bay city council will recommend that a parcel on Egg Harbor Road be sold to a developer who plans to construct a building housing a retail outlet & two other undisclosed businesses. On Tuesday, the finance/purchasing & building committee approved the sale of a chunk of the former Gill property at 1423 Egg Harbor Road to the United Development Group, LLC for $240,000. The developer provided drawings indicating that the building would house a “Maurice’s” clothing outlet. A portion of the parcel next to the Neighborhood Pub will be retained by the city for a detention pond. The committee’s recommendation is expected to be considered Tuesday evening when the Sturgeon Bay city council meets in regular session.
