The city of Sturgeon Bay’s Division Road compost site has been reopened. The area was originally shut down on February 8th for safety reasons in order to burn excess brush. However, burning embers kept the site closed for safety’s sake &, because of gusty winds, it was decided to keep things shutdown throughout the weekend. However, as of noon Monday, it was once again safe for residents to use the compost site.
