The Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center reports that that the annual street art auction, Sturgeon Around the Bay, brought in $62,200 for the 25 decorated sturgeons & garden art. The auction was held in conjunction with the harvest festival held Saturday, September 21st. The top five money makers were:
Stacked Monolith by Rob Soukup – $7500
Bon Apetit by Chondra Holschach & Cori Rosen – $6150
Stella by Jim Rigoni – $5600
ROYGBIV by Amanda Hatton – $5500
A carved wooden piece by Matt Stender – $4600
The People’s Choice Award went to Bon Apetit by Holschbach & Rosen. The artists & the visitor bureau share proceeds from the sturgeon street art fundraiser.
