The Door County YMCA is getting ready to launch its annual community support fundraising effort, the Strong Kids Campaign. Over 7,000 Door County residents are YMCA members & 1,800 members of the organization receive financial assistance made possible by the yearly fundraiser. This year, the Door County Y hopes to raise $450,000 which will be returned to the community in financial assistance on a need basis. Dick & Carol Skare of Fish Creek will share the chairmanship of this year’s campaign with Jonathan & Jennifer Meacham of Sturgeon Bay. The annual Strong Kids Campaign will kick off on February 27th with My Y Week, a celebration of the YMCA & its members.
