The Department of Natural Resources has decided to reopen Rock Island State Park & the Ahnapee State Trail in Door County after crews cleared downed trees & repaired damage from the September 29th wind storm. Campers can now check in at Rock Island State Park. Work continues at Peninsula, Potawatomi, Newport & Whitefish Dunes State Parks, which remain closed to entry. Power has been restored to all parks & water, restrooms, sewer services &buildings are being repaired. State park officials are expected to reassess the situation within the next day.
