A 67 year old Southern Door County man is in the Door county jail & his 67 year old wife is listed in serious condition at a Green Bay hospital after a stabbing incident early Tuesday morning. Door County Sheriff Terry Vogel says his department was contacted at 4:42AM by the woman who said she had been stabbed with a knife by her husband. Officers & medical personnel were sent to the couple’s home in the Little Sturgeon area of the Town of Gardner. The victim was treated for a severe stab wound & transported to Saint Vincent hospital in Green Bay. Her husband was placed under arrest for attempted first degree homicide & taken to the Door County Justice Center. Sheriff Vogel says the investigation is ongoing & further information related to the case is expected to be released in the near future.
