Stabbing Above Downtown Bar in Sturgeon Bay

A 48-year old Sturgeon Bay man was arrested in connection with a stabbing early Monday morning at Butch’s Bar in the city downtown area. Officers were dispatched shortly after 2AM & found the victim, a 59-year old man, in a vehicle parked behind the bar. The man said he was stabbed in the chest with a knife during an altercation in an area above the bar. The victim was transported to Ministry Door County Medical Center for treatment of what was called non life-threatening injuries. The alleged assailant was taken into custody on multiple citations & booked at the Door County jail. His case was turned over to the Door County District Attorney for a review of possible charges.
