Southern Door Superintendent Search

The Southern Door Board of Education is seeking community input with focus groups meeting this month as it continues the process expected to lead to the hiring of a new superintendent. One such session is set for Wednesday, from 6PM to 7:30PM, in the Southern Door Community Auditorium. Board members have engaged the services of Wisconsin Association of School Boards in the search for a replacement for Superintendent Joe Innis who is retiring at the end of the year after 22 years on the job. The mission of the focus groups is to develop the criteria & interview questions for perspective candidates, helping the board find the best candidate for the job. The WASB’s Louis Birchbauer is facilitating the work of the focus groups. The schedule for the three focus groups meeting on Wednesday is as follows:

3:45PM – 4:45PM -The Staff Focus Group – In the auditorium

6PM-7PM – Community Focus Group – In the auditorium

7:30PM – 8:30PM – Board of Education Focus Session – In the high school library.
