WDOR News has learned that Southern Door School District Superintendent Chris Peterson is on leave from the district. The district confirmed Peterson’s status as “on leave,” Monday afternoon. At this point no other information is available as to what caused the leave, but a special meeting of the Southern Door Board of Education was held Thursday night where the status of the District Administrator was discussed in closed session.
The Southern Door Board of Education will meet Monday night and among the agenda items is another closed session regarding personnel.
We will continue to follow this story as it develops. Peterson has been Superintendent at the Southern Door School District since July of 2021, he previously served 12 years as the Superintendent at the Howards Grove School District.
