As the Village of Sister Bay works towards its community-wide broadband service, they are offering informational meetings Tuesday, May 7th and on Tuesday, June 4th. There will be two meetings May 7th at the Sister Bay Fire Station, those will be at 2:00 and at 5:30PM. Homeowners, tenants, businesses, and institutions are invited.
With the ongoing broadband project in the village, fiber optic lines will be buried and run to every developed property. If someone wants the service run to their building they will need to sign a “right of entry” form allowing the Bertram Company to bury a line on your property and install a service box. During the duration of this project, the installation cost to the property owner is zero, but after the project is done there will be a fee to bury the line and install the service box. Representatives from Bertram Communications will be presenting information on the fiber optic installation at these informational meetings.
