To: The Citizens of Kewaunee County
I am writing to let you all know that I have formally submitted my Declaration for Candidacy for the position of Kewaunee County Sheriff. This is the third time I have submitted this form, and it still brings with it both anxiety as well as excitement. I have been very blessed to have served in this capacity for the past seven years three months, and look forward to the opportunity to continue serving the people of Kewaunee County into the future. One thing I cannot and will not do is make a statement of what I have accomplished or what I intend to accomplish, for the successes we have experienced have not been solely of my doing. I have had the great privilege of working alongside some of the most professional and dedicated men and women I could ask for. I have had the honor of being part of projects which have made our community a safer and better place to live. Together we have been challenged and continue to meet those challenges. I appreciate all of the support I have gotten from both the staff of the Sheriff’s Department as well as from the community and will continue to give this position every ounce of my energy and commitment.
Sincerely,
Sheriff Matthew J. Joski
