Sevastopol Superintendent Candidates

There’s an international flavor to the search for a new superintendent for the Sevastopol school district as the board of education prepares for interviews with six candidates on Tuesday. Brett Stousland has expressed interest in running the day to day affairs of the school in Institute & is willing to leave his job as K/12 principal at the American International school of Zagreb Croatia. Two other applicants are located outside the state of Wisconsin. They are Mike Healy, superintendent at Bellevue schools in Bellvue, Iowa & Linda Underwood-Schweigert, superintendent at Goochland County public schools in Goochland, Virginia. The other candidates are Eric Franzen, district administrator/principal for the Weston school district from 2008 to 2011, Larry Swanson, district administrator/elementary principal for the Athens school district from 2009 to 2010 & Paul Amundson, district administrator fro the Omro school district. Besides the Sevastopol school board, a group of district residents are also expected to interview candidates for the superintendent’s position. Superintendent Steve Cromell is retiring at the end of the current school year after wrapping up his fifth year on the job.
