June was dairy month, and there have been nearly 40 different dairy breakfast events across the state, and one of the final such events will be this Saturday at the Country View Dairy Farm in Sevastopol. From 6 to 11:30AM, the Sevastopol FFA. Will be holding this summer’s dairy breakfast one day earlier than usual. Being held on Saturday instead of Sunday was a move to better accommodate the event volunteers who who put in up to 14 hours of work that day, and organizers feel it will better coordinate with the travel plans of its large tourist base that may be traveling home on Sunday.
The breakfast will cost $12 for ages 8 and up, and it will be free for those aged 7 or younger. That includes pancakes, scrambled eggs with ham and cheese, real maple syrup, plenty of cheese samples, cherry sauce, cherry juice, Door County coffee, and more.
All proceeds from the dairy breakfast will go towards scholarships for local FFA students.
