SBVC Needs Help for 4th of July Fireworks

The Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center is looking for help to make the local 4th of July celebration a little brighter. A key component of the “Sturgeon Bay Celebrates” 4th of July observance is the fireworks display at the end of the evening. The total cost for the annual event with its pyrotechnic display, including fees, insurance & related expenses, is close to $18,000. To date, the tourism organization has raised about $9000. According to a news release, the Visitor Center has reached the point where a decision could curtail the fireworks display or end the 4th of July celebration altogether. With recent cuts in financial support, the non-profit is finding it more difficult to find the dollars needed to put on cost-intensive events. Businesses & individuals are being called upon to help the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center cover the cost of putting on the fireworks display. Donations can be mailed to:
