SBPD Warns of Thefts from Vehicles

The Sturgeon Bay Police Department is continuing its investigation into a series of recent thefts involving parked vehicles in the city. Close to a half a dozen vehicles were hit & it appears that the owners left them unlocked & easy pickings for the thief. In one case, the victim left keys in the car & it was moved. Officers later found it parked some distance away. City police are asking residents to make it a point to lock their cars, trucks & other unoccupied vehicles. If anyone has seen suspicious activity, they’re asked to contact the department at 746-2450 or check out the department web site at www.sturgeonbaypolice.com
