SBPD Investigating Attempted Burglary

Public input is being sought in connection with an attempted burglary at a home in Sturgeon Bay in late January. City police say officers were dispatched to a home on 7th Avenue after a report of a burglary in progress was called in. While en route, officers were told two men were trying to get in through a side door. The men were said to be wearing bandannas & carrying knives. The suspects fled before officers arrived. They learned that an altercation involving three men had taken place outside the home. One of the participants was the brother of the resident who confronted the two men. The investigation into the incident is ongoing. There is no evidence that the general public was ever in danger.
