Door County’s long time destination management organization, the Door County Visitor Bureau, is undergoing some changes, first off the name. To reflect the evolving nature of tourism the bureau has changed its name to: Destination Door County. The organization is also adopting a new logo. Both will be incorporated into the operation starting this month.
The organization has had many name changes since it began as the Door County Businessman’s Association in 1884. The new name is the 8th name in the history of the group.
The new name and logo are the beginning stages of a new welcome center which will be built next to the existing welcome center on Green Bay Road, in Sturgeon Bay.
