The Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a drowning Sunday afternoon at Krohns Lake County Park, in the Town of Pierce. According to the police report, the sheriff’s department was alerted at 12:26PM that a 15-year old boy from Green Bay was in trouble in the lake. The initial information indicated that he had been swimming with some friends when he was unable to swim back to the platform the group had been jumping off. After arriving at the scene, Algoma Fire & Rescue deployed ladders from the platform & recovered the teenager at 12:44PM. Resuscitation efforts were started & the boy was transported to the Aurora Medical Center in Green Bay. He was later transferred to Saint Vincent Hospital. The 15 year old boy died Monday afternoon. The victim has been identified as Zachary A. Busch.
