You can add kidnapping to the list of possible charges being contemplated in connection with an incident that happened late Thursday or early Friday morning in Sturgeon Bay. City police say at least a half a dozen suspects have been arrested in connection with an alleged assault at an east side residence . Both men sustained injuries & were treated at Ministry Door County Medical Center in Sturgeon Bay. The individuals taken into custody were booked & incarcerated at the Door County jail. We’re told that, as the investigation continues, further arrests are possible.

Meanwhile, WDOR News has learned that a Camp Douglas, Wisconsin woman appeared at a bond hearing in Door County Circuit Court Tuesday afternoon in connection with the beating incident. Twenty year old Ayashe Gerdeen is accused of being a party to the crime of kidnapping & possession of drug paraphernalia. A former Door County man, 24-year old Steven Bongle, also of Camp Douglas, was taken into custody on a probation hold. It appears that Bongle orchestrated the beatings & extortion attempt & that drugs may have played a role in the incident.
