Michigan Street Bridge Re-Opened

Traffic was moving over the Michigan Street Bridge in Sturgeon Bay Friday, about two hours earlier than had been anticipated. The Department of Transportation indicated that the opening would be closer to 3PM, but the span was already being crossed around 1PM. The more than 80 year old bridge was closed on September, 19th in order to complete painting & to conduct an inspection as part of the nearly 21 million dollar rehabilitation project that began in July of 2009.
