“If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.” That sums up the effort to deal with the future of the old grain elevator on Sturgeon Bay’s west side. A determination of what to do with the old grain elevator was supposed to happen on Monday, but not enough council-members showed up and the session was called off. Now comes word from city hall that the meeting has been rescheduled for Wednesday, same time, same place. The council session, scheduled for Monday at noon, was set up to determine if a bid should be accepted for dismantling the 116 year old structure. However, Mayor Thad Birmingham adjourned the meeting after a few minutes when it became obvious that no more council-members would be in attendance.
