The Green Bay office of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation has announced that the Maple/Oregon Street Bridge in Sturgeon Bay will be closed to traffic for part of the day on Thursday, June 5th. The closure is planned for 6AM to 8PM. The DOT says the closure is needed for some maintenance work on the span’s center locks. When the bridge is lowered into place, the locks secure the two spans of the draw together. Motorists will need to find an alternate route Thursday during the one-day closure of the Maple/Oregon Street Bridge in Sturgeon Bay.
