Sturgeon Bay’s Maple to Oregon Street Bridge was closed to traffic for much of the afternoon Tuesday. Apparently, repairs to gates on the span caused the shutdown during the early afternoon hours. The $30 million structure has had it’s share of “glitches” causing closure since it opened in September of 2008. Most recently, the removal & replacement of a drive unit forced motorists to use the City’s other bridges in order to cross from one side of the City to the other. The Bridge was re-opened to traffic shortly before 4PM.
