Luedtke to Resign as Sevastopol Superintendent

Wednesday evening, at the Sevastopol School Board’s regular monthly meeting, the board will consider accepting the resignation of current Superintendent Kyle Luedtke. Superintendent Luedtke turned in his resignation letter to the board this Monday, with a resignation date effective June 30th. He will be accepting a new position as Superintendent of the Frederic School District in northwestern Wisconsin, and the reasoning for this move is so he and his wife can be closer to family.
Luedtke began as Superintendent of the Sevastopol district in 2017. In his 7 years at that position, he oversaw the district’s academic improvements, the tearing down of the old school building, the construction of new buildings, and renovation of existing spaces. He also helped guide the district through the complex difficulties of instruction through the COVID pandemic.
In regards to his resignation, Luedtke comments, “It is bittersweet as we have accomplished many things over the past seven years here at Sevastopol.”
