LC & Algoma School Referendums Pass

The Luxemburg-Casco & Algoma School districts both had referendums on the ballot during Tuesday’s Spring election.
In Algoma, the district was asking voters for $10.05 million for capital improvements at the elementary & middle & high school facilities. Voters in Algoma approved the measure with nearly 68% of the voters saying yes, 999 Yes to 475 no.
Luxemburg-Casco had an operational referendum on the ballot, seeking $1.8 million per year for the next three years. That measure was approved narrowly at 51%, with 1884 Yes votes to 1766 No votes.
