Kewaunee School Bus Struck From Behind Tuesday

An accident involving a school bus took place at about 3:20PM on Tuesday afternoon in the Town Carlton, in Kewaunee County. A Kewaunee school bus with 30 students was stopped on Highway 42, at a residence south of Townline Road, when it was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by an 18 year old Two Rivers man. The Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene, where the bus occupants reported minor injuries, and the Two Rivers man was transported to an area hospital with injuries. Highway 42 was shut down in the area for 3 hours due to the preliminary investigation. Kewaunee Rescue, Carlton Fire, Carlton First Responders, the Kewaunee County Highway Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, & the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department all responded to the scene.
The Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department & the Wisconsin State Patrol are investigating the incident.
