The Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a theft & an attempted theft from two area churches. The sheriff’s department was called to St. Therese Parish Stangleville site in the Town of Franklin Tuesday, to investigate a forced entry. The perpetrators also attempted to gain access to a secured donation container but were unsuccessful.
On Wednesday, the sheriff’s department was called to the Pilsen Site of St. Therese Parish in the Town of Montpelier for a similar incident. Forced entry was again used to enter the building, this time a secured donation box was taken, along with a brass table.
