Hunter Safety Courses in Door/Kewaunee Counties?

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic shutting down most public gatherings, all local hunter safety education courses were canceled for March, April, and May. The Wisconsin DNR is now moving forward, gathering information, and possibly planning to resume these courses in our area. Conservation Warden Chris Kratcha tells us more…..

With the current ongoing situation with COVID-19, courses would be mostly online, but there would still be an in-person hands-on testing scenario which would have to be conducted in a safe fashion……

There are no courses planned yet in Door County, but Kratcha says there will be one coming up in New Franken, near Green Bay…..

For more information about online registration you can always go online to the Wisconsin DNR website at “dnr.wi.gov”. Once there you can search “safety education” to learn about the class in New Franken as well as any upcoming classes in Door and Kewaunee Counties.
