Last week Tuesday was the Door County Medical Center Auxiliary’s 63rd annual House & Garden Walk, where over 150 volunteers helped showcase five spectacular homes from Sturgeon Bay to Ellison Bay. Event Co-Chairs Gretchen DeCoster and Pat Neudecker report that this year’s event raised over $55,000, and those proceeds will benefit the current multi-million dollar campaign to strengthen and expand the medical center’s behavioral health program. These funds will now help the medical center expand it’s behavioral health services to its clinics in Sturgeon Bay, Sister Bay, and Algoma. It will help increase direct therapy hours for students in Door and Kewaunee County schools, and it will also bring isolated senior citizens together for therapy and activities through its Senior Life Solutions program.
The Auxiliary is already planning for the 64th annual House & Garden Walk which will take place July 29th of next summer.
