Heavy Snow Causes Power Outages

More than 800 customers of Wisconsin Public Service Corporation in Door County were without power Saturday as a result of the heavy snow that fell in the area. WPS says the affected areas were Baileys Harbor, Ellison Bay, Sister Bay, and Sturgeon Bay. Up to 6 inches of snow fell in Door County.

Residents were power outages were reported were warned to be careful when plowing and shoveling snow because of the possibility of downed power lines.

Crews from Green Bay were sent to help get electrical service restored.
