Heat Safety

During the recent heat wave, a number of reports about people leaving children or pets in their vehicles for long periods of time were called in to the Door County dispatch center. Kolberg says with another hot weekend anticipated, there are some things that residents can do to keep cool. Recently, Door County Library branches were designated as cooling centers. Kolberg says if the heat starts to get to you, do not hesitate to contact your doctor or medical personnel.
