A steady rain fell & there was thunder & lightning, but a large crowd, including Governor Scott Walker & local dignitaries, was dry in a tent erected on property off Utah Street, adjacent to the Leathem Smith complex in Sturgeon Bay Thursday as a groundbreaking ceremony was held for Anna’s Healthcare, an assisted living facility for senior citizens. The five million dollar facility will provide 58,000 square feet of space to house 67 total living areas, including five apartments. Services provided will include adult daycare, respite care & an alzheimer’s unit. The facility will be owned by Tim & Tammy Begley. Tammy Begley also operates Anna’s Place in New Franken. Begley hopes to have Anna’s Healthcare up & running by November.
