A special meeting of the Gibraltar board of education dealing with the position of superintendent/elementary principal is set for Monday at 5PM. The agenda for the meeting in community room 266 also includes items for electing board officers & scheduling a special meeting of the board of education at 4PM on Monday, May 21st. A couple of weeks ago, interviews were held with Thomas Hughes, superintendent of the Chippewa Falls school district, Peter Pfundtner, the Menasha school district’s director of technology services & secondary learning, & Tina Van Meer, principal at a learning academy in Monroe. Gibraltar superintendent Steve Seyfer has been district administrator at the school in Fish Creek since July of 1997. He will retire at the end of the current school year.
