Tina Van Meer has been selected to fill the position of superintendent/elementary principal for the Gibraltar school district. The board of education approved the selection at a special meeting Monday night. Van Meer is currently elementary principal for the Abraham Lincoln Accelerated Learning Academy in Monroe. She has been connected with the Monroe school for seven years & previously was an administrator with the Albany school district. If she accepts the contract offer, Van Meer will begin her first day on the job July 2nd.
