Fundraising for Accessible Playground at Southern Door

In recent months, the 4-K team at Southern Door Schools has been working towards the creation of a new adaptive and accessible playground for the kindergarten and elementary students. There have been some fundraising efforts in the community along with grant writing, and they’ve already had some donations from local businesses. Director of Pupil Services Dave Desmond shares more about the project and some of the playground features…

Desmond draws comparisons with the new playground at Otumba Park, and he says the accessibility aspect of the facility would be of great value to the community for years to come…

He wants everyone to know there will be a fundraising benefit BINGO event for the playground at Sturgeon Bay’s Cherry Lanes on Monday, April 29th. Also, if you would like to donate to the this playground fundraising effort, you can call the Southern Door School District to speak with Director of Pupil Services Dave Desmond, that number is 920-825-7333.
