Flu Shot Shortage Cancels Tuesday’s Clinic

Due to overwhelming demand across the country, the flu shot vaccine supply at the Door County Medical Center is very near depletion. While there are additional doses on order, the shipment is not guaranteed when supply lines are strained. Therefore, the flu shot clinic scheduled for this coming Tuesday October 20th is now canceled. The supply situation will be re-evaluated early next week to determine the status of future scheduled clinics. Local pharmacies may still have doses of flu vaccination available, but with the strong demand they could possible run out as well. If you are able to find a source for a flu shot, it is recommended you take that opportunity to receive your vaccination. For the latest updates you can stay tuned to the Door County Medical Center website “dcmedical.org” , or keep up with their social media channels.
