Fish Tales Lecture Thursday at Crossroads

This Thursday will be the 2nd presentation of this year’s Fish Tales lecture series, an educational outreach of Crossroads at Big Creek, in partnership with the Door County Library. This time, the speaker will be Dr. Patrick Forsythe of the UWGB Aquatic Ecology and Fisheries Laboratory. Local retired fish biologist Mark Holey shares with us Dr. Forsythe’s work with sturgeon in the Menominee River…

Thursday’s lecture will be special because Crossroads is right along the bay named after this historic fish, and it will cover the work towards restoring sturgeon to areas where their numbers have declined…

The free lecture starts at 7 PM Thursday at Crossroads at Big Creek, where you can attend in-person, or you can view it online via Zoom. You’ll find that Zoom link in the calendar section of the library website at For more information, you can also call the Sturgeon Bay Library branch at 920-746-7121.
