Fire Prevention Week will be observed across the nation this week, & the theme this year is “Protect Your Family From Fire”. Sturgeon Bay Fire Chief Tim Herlache says getting the word out on how to protect ourselves, our families & our communities from the dangers of fire is a key component of the annual observance. Chief Herlache also stresses that everyone should practice an escape plan that will be implemented in the event of a fire. He also notes that carbon monoxide detectors have a role to play in protecting families in the home.
