Sturgeon Bay hosts the annual winter celebration “Fire & Ice” this weekend. The highlight Saturday is a city wide ice carving competition by local artists, along with professional carvers transforming large & small snow blocks into masterpieces at Sawyer Park. Starting at 9AM Saturday, carvers will begin the process of turning ice into art. At 2PM, judging for the finished ice blocks will get underway with the awards ceremony scheduled for 3PM. The public can vote for its favorite carving for the “Peoples Choice Award”.
