The Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a fatal accident that occurred late Friday afternoon in the Town of Ahnapee, at the intersection of County D & County K. Patrick Schneider, 27 from Hayward, Wisconsin was heading West on County K when he failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection. His Chevy Tahoe collided with a Honda Ridgeline driven by 55 year old Dennis Villers from Algoma, which was Southbound on County D. Schneider was pronounced dead at the scene, Villers was transported to medical facilities in Green Bay with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
Algoma Fire & Rescue assisted the sheriff’s department at the scene. The accident remains under investigation by the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department.
