The Door County Sheriff’s Department has released the name of the 66 year old man who died in a one vehicle crash Tuesday morning on County Trunk B at the intersection of Dunn Road, in the Town of Sevastopol. Authorities say Russel Reinhard of Saint Petersburg, Florida died when the vehicle he was driving collided with a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident report indicates that Reinhard was heading west on Dunn Road when his truck went through a stop sign before hitting the tree. There were no skid marks on the pavement. Also responding to the crash report were units from Door County Emergency Services, Sevastopol First Responders & the Sturgeon Bay Fire Department. The intersection of County Trunk B & Dunn Road was closed for about three hours while the accident was being investigated. Reinhard also had a home in the Fish Creek area. A Door County native & a graduate of Gibraltar High School, he was a retired teacher.
