The Wisconsin Federation of Museums had its annual conference at Green Bay’s Neville Public Museum on Friday, and at the conference they presented their 2024 institutional award of excellence to the Ephraim Historical Foundation. The Wisconsin Federation of Museums promotes the general welfare of museums in the state, increases and disseminates knowledge pertinent to the profession, and encourages cooperation between the state’s museums. Friday’s award presentation marks the 2nd consecutive year a Door County Museum won this award, as last year the 2023 award of excellence was presented to the Door County Maritime Museum.
The Wisconsin Museum Federation stated that the Ephraim Historical Foundation was chosen for this year’s award in recognition of its 75 years of service to the community of Ephraim and its visitors, to preserve, celebrate, and engage about the history of the village.
