On Friday, at 3:53pm, the Door County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a 2 vehicle crash on Highway 42 in the Village of Ephraim.
The crash involved at northbound vehicle going left of the center line and striking a southbound vehicle head on. The drivers of both vehicles were the sole occupant of each vehicle. Both drivers were transported to Ministry Door County Medical Center. As a result of the crash, the driver of the northbound vehicle, 73 year-old Julia Foote of Ephraim and New York, died at the hospital. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
