The Ephraim Business Council has selected Jason Szmanda to serve as its tourism administrator. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin Green Bay’s Psychology, Human Development & Theatre programs, Szmanda has been coming to Door County since 2006. In May, he moved to the county from Chicago & has since worked in Egg Harbor. Prior to that, Szmanda was a program assistant for Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Traci Busch, President of the Ephraim Business Council, said Szmanda projected enthusiasm & possessed superior customer service skills. He will be responsible for marketing the Village of Ephraim, developing & implementing the annual marketing plan. Szmanda will also work as a liaison with business members, non-profits & the village board of trustees.
