Emergency Vehicle Fun Day

For the third consecutive year, Door County residents & visitors are being invited to a free emergency vehicle fun day at the Cherryland Airport near Sturgeon Bay, on Mother’s Day, May 13th. As in the past, the fun day will give the young & the young at heart, the opportunity to check out the equipment in use by law enforcement & emergency service organizations on a daily basis. Chris Neuville, Door County Sheriff’s Department juvenile investigator, came up with the idea for the event. Visitors will be able to check out a US Coast Guard boat, the Eagle III helicopter, Civil Air Patrol aircraft, police cars, fire trucks & more. Sonny’s Pizzeria & Marchant’s Meats of Sturgeon Bay will also be on hand selling food & beverages. The third annual Emergency Vehicle Fun Day is set for Sunday, May 13th, from 11AM to 3PM at the Cherryland Airport.
